With trade talks stalling, Broncos may fill QB void through the draft
The Broncos have tried to find a viable option at quarterback after Peyton Manning retired and Brock Osweiler bolted for the Houston Texans.
Denver reportedly had interest in Robert Griffin, but he eventually signed with the Browns. The Broncos' trade talks with the 49ers regarding Colin Kaepernick are at an impasse. So the club might look toward the draft to help its deficiencies at QB. He added 588 rushing yards and 10 TDs on the ground.
The Broncos have scheduled former Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott to meet with the team Tuesday, NFL.com reported. Prescott threw for 3,793 yards with 29 touchdowns and five interceptions last season with the Bulldogs.
The Broncos have veteran Mark Sanchez and little-known Trevor Siemian as the only quarterbacks on the roster. The defending Super Bowl champs have pick No. 31 in this year's draft and are expected to select a quarterback at that spot.
