Xavier Rhodes humiliates Carson Palmer on 100-yard pick six (Video)
Minnesota Vikings defensive back Xavier Rhodes jumps a Carson Palmer red zone pass for a 100-yard interception return for a touchdown.
The Minnesota Vikings had lost four straight games since their bye in Week 6. Minnesota began the year a perfect 5-0, but now finds itself reeling at 5-4. The offense in the Twin Cities is pedestrian at best. Minnesota will have to lean on its defense to win the rest of the way.
Well, it seems that the Vikings plan to do just that. On a red zone passing situation for the Arizona Cardinals, Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer carelessly tosses the ball near the goal line. It was picked off by Vikings defensive back Xavier Rhodes who found pay dirt on a 100-yard interception return for a touchdown.

It was one of those picks that was so heinous that nobody on the Arizona offense could have thought about tackling Rhodes. Almost as soon as he intercepted the pass, he was going to score the 100-yard touchdown to make it 20-10 Minnesota after the made PAT.
Minnesota’s strength as a football team is in its secondary. As painful as it may sound for Cardinals fans, its biggest weakness this season has been the quarterback position. Palmer has fallen off a cliff after his near MVP 2015 campaign. He is running out of gas and general manager Steve Keim needs somebody else to sling the pigskin next season.
Fortunately for the Cardinals, Bruce Arians is an elite offensive-minded head coach. Could Dallas Cowboys backup quarterback Tony Romo find success in the Valley of the Sun in 2017? As long as Palmer struggles, Arizona has no shot at getting into the NFC Playoffs. The Cardinals’ margin for error is razor-thin offensively.
