Once again, we receive definitive proof that hockey is the best sport in the land.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix are appreciative of the Coyotes’ efforts.

“We appreciate the Arizona Coyotes Foundation and the team’s commitment in supporting our mission of enabling young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens,” said Amy Gibbons, President and Executive Director, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix.

“The proceeds from this game will directly fund our 13 Clubhouses throughout Metro Phoenix and the West Valley, and help us serve more than 30,000 youth and teens annually.”

For the fans attending, this will be the first chance this season to catch many of the team’s prized youngsters in NHL caliber action.

The squad will be split between two rosters – one in Glendale and one in LA for another scrimmage.

General Manager John Chayka has already expressed admiration for Ryan MacInnis and Jakob Chychrun thus far. Fans have been equally impressed with Christian Dvorak.

Starting Monday night, the cream will begin to rise to the top and we’ll find out whose jerseys will be flying off the shelves in Gila River Arena this winter.
