Goaltender Madsen played at Harvard University for the last four years where he's been quite successful actually. Last season he finished the season with a .923 save percentage and 2.11 goals against average. He has great size at 6'5" and 200 pounds, plus he's only 21 years old.

Brendan Warren, the piece the Yotes moved to Philly played last season with the University of Michigan where he put up 10 points in 35 games. And the year before he put up 17 in 38. He's also a good sized kid at 6'1" and 185 pounds. In 73 career NCAA games, Warren has totaled 27 points, 34 penalty minutes but had a minus-eight rating.

The best part of the deal for the Coyotes is it only cost them a middle tier prospect and a fifth round pick in 2018. Philly could have definitely asked for more since Cousins is still a promising player, but sometimes you just have to take what you can get.
