Colorado Avalanche defenseman Kyle Cumiskey has another head injury.

The team said Cumiskey wouldn't return after getting hurt in the first period of Wednesday night's game at Minnesota. Cumiskey was in the starting lineup and played five shifts before leaving.

Cumiskey missed 34 games earlier this season because of a concussion.

Also, Colorado defenseman Adam Foote was scratched because of a leg injury. The Avalanche are calling their captain's status day to day. He has yet to score a goal in 41 games this season.
