Binghamton Senators Weekly Report
The Senators played two games on the weekend, opening the weekend at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena. The Senators extended their winning streak to four games Friday night against the St. John’s Icecaps.
Chris Rumble opened the scoring on the power play at 19:06 in the 1st period. Jason Akeson and Micheal Kostka drew the assists.

Markus Eisenschmid forced overtime and an eventual shootout with a late 3rd period goal at 17:55.
Chris Driedger stopped 36 shots for a .973 SV% on the evening. Driedger would shut the door in the shootout, allowing one goal on three shots.
Both Jason Akeson and Casey Bailey would score for the Baby Sens in the shootout.

Binghamton’s second game of the weekend came on the road Saturday night against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
Binghamton fell behind early, conceding two goals 2:32 into the hockey game.
Jack Rodewald got the Sens on the board at 14:47 in the first period; Patrick Sieloff and Jason Akeson added on the helpers.
The Senators strike twice in the first 3:54 of the 2nd period.

Phil Verone’s 7th of the season drew the game even from defensemen Ben Harpur and Patrick Sieloff.

Wilkes-Barre went on to score three unanswered goals.
Casey Bailey would pull the Senators to within one with a minute left in the hockey game; Jason Akeson and Chris Rumble assisted the power play goal.
Chris Driedger allowed 5 goals on 39 shots for a .872 SV% on the night, .921 SV% on the weekend.
