Blackhawks cut camp tryouts Visnovsky, Kopecky
Veteran defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky and forward Tomas Kopecky saw their respective bids to make the Chicago Blackhawks come to an end on Monday.
The veterans were signed to professional tryout contracts prior to training camp.
Visnovsky was attempting to secure a roster spot as the Blackhawks deal with the departures of fellow blue-liners Kimmo Timonen (retirement) and Johnny Oduya (Dallas Stars).
The 39-year-old Visnovsky scored five goals and set up 15 others in 53 games last season with the New York Islanders. Visnovsky played in only four contests of the team's first-round series with the Washington Capitals.
A Stanley Cup winner with Chicago in 2010, Kopecky was vying for his second stint with the club after playing with the Blackhawks in two seasons (2009-11). The 33-year-old forward recorded two goals and six assists in 64 contests with the Florida Panthers in 2014-15.

#Blackhawks release Lubomir Visnovsky and Tomas Kopecky from camp. I thought Visnovsky had a chance.
