John McDonough found an appropriate place to celebrate with the Stanley Cup as the Chicago Blackhawks president hoisted the cherished chalice in front of a street that was renamed in his honor.

The Chicago native also joined team anthem singer Jim Cornelison in bringing the Stanley Cup to Edison Park, where appreciative Blackhawks fans came out in droves.

"I know that the official home of the Stanley Cup is in Toronto, Canada," McDonough said, according to the Daily Herald. "But I feel here in the Chicago area, the official home of the Stanley Cup is here in Elk Grove Village."

McDonough, who joined the Blackhawks in 2007 and was named the team's president and CEO four years later, has brought the Stanley Cup to Elk Grove Village on three occasions in the last six seasons.
