Blackhawks' Svedberg agrees to one-year deal

Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Viktor Svedberg agreed to terms on a one-year contract on Wednesday.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed by the team.

Svedberg, 24, collected three goals and 11 assists in 49 games last season with Rockford of the American Hockey League. The towering 6-foot-8 Swede was signed by Chicago as a free agent on Oct. 19, 2013.

Svedberg has yet to make his NHL debut with the Blackhawks.
