Buffalo Sabres Fan Chatter #6: Sabres-Wild
Will you be the King of the Buffalo Sabres fan after tonight’s Sabres-Wild game? Or just another wannabe who should stick to picking his nose? Let’s go!
The Buffalo Sabres take on the Minnesota Wild at the KeyBank Center tonight.
Even though I didn’t sound too optimistic about the Sabres’ chances in my game day post, there are some things going Buffalo’s way.
For starters, you would hope that the Sabres would be pissed off, to a man, after they handed the Philadelphia Flyers a 4-3 win in a shootout Tuesday evening. The Sabres blew a 3-0 lead, and were still up 3-1 with under 4 minutes to play. That sort of loss stings, so I sure hope the Sabres act like professionals and come out with a fire in their belly tonight.
Something else going Buffalo’s way? The Wild are finishing a four-game road trip tonight, so maybe they won’t have their legs early.
Will these two factors, plus another strong game from Anders Nilsson in net, lead the Sabres to victory?
Who cares – we’re going to make our picks regardless!
1. Who scores the first goal of the game? (5 pts. for picking the team, 10 pts. for picking the player)
2. Who has the better save percentage tonight: Nilsson, or Devan Dubnyk (assuming he plays)? (5 pts.)
3. Will Matt Moulson have more points than Jason Pominville tonight? (5 pts.)
4. What will be the combined score of the game? (10 pts. to closest answer_
5. Finally, who wins? (7 pts.)
Sound off in the comments section below, and let’s hope the Buffalo Sabres pull their heads out of their arses!
