Buffalo Sabres Injury Update: Jack Eichel Day-To-Day, Could Debut Tuesday
The Buffalo Sabres could be getting a nice boost on the offensive side of the ice very soon . . . .
The Buffalo Sabres took one step closer to being able to score more than one goal per game today, as the team put Jack Eichel through back-to-back heavy practices for the first time this season.
Early reports today confirmed that Eichel was listed as day-to-day, and that he was not expected to be in the lineup Tuesday evening when the Sabres visit the Ottawa Senators. Then this series of events happened:

Well that escalated from hopeful to “PLEASE GOD LET THIS HAPPEN!!!!” pretty quickly, eh? John Vogel over at The Buffalo News wrote that Eichel “gave a few not-so-subtle glances that he will be in Sabres lineup. Teammates expect it,” and all of the major sports sites are making headlines with “Jack Eichel Could Make His Debut” articles as we speak.
Needless to say, Buffalo Sabres fans on Twitter are acting like Christmas has come 28 days early:

The Buffalo Sabres desperately need Jack Eichel’s talents in the lineup, but let’s hope that their young center is essentially at 100% before they roll him onto the ice. Waiting an extra game or two at this point will not make much of a difference in the standings. At any rate, Eichel is almost back, which is great news as we gear up for the month of December!
