The Buffalo Sabres got a surprise visit from 2014-15 Zemgus tonight in the nation’s capital!
Forget the Ghost of Christmas past; the Buffalo Sabres got a visit from the ghost of Zemgus Girgensons past tonight in their road game against the Washington Capitals.
Tied 0-0 with the Sabres owning exactly zero shots on goal, Girgensons gathered in a beautiful feed from Derek Grant, streaked down the center of the ice, and flashed the sort of hands that made us remember he topped 30 points in a season not too long ago.
