Capitals Recall Forward Jakub Vrana From Hershey
Jakub Vrana will spend some more time with the big club after being recalled again.
In a likely move to keep players fresh for the second part of the season, forward Jakub Vrana has been recalled from the AHL. The Capitals announced the move on Friday. It’s the second call-up of the season for Vrana.
The 20-year-old Czech native first joined the Capitals joined the Capitals in December. He made his NHL debut on December 1 in a game gains the Islanders. The winger picked up his first goal on December 9 against Buffalo and put up a multi-point performance with two assists on December 13 while facing the Islanders again.
Overall, Vrana has appeared in 12 games for the Caps, recording a goal and two assists.

Vrana has played in 30 games this year at the AHL level with the Hershey Bears. He has 24 total points and his 13 goals are tied for second on the team. Last year as a rookie in the AHL he registered 16 goals and 18 assists in 36 games.
Washington drafted Vrana as the 13th-overall pick in the 2014 NHL Draft.
