Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- Back To Work

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks are finally back home tonight to face the Florida Panthers.  It’s been a couple of weeks so hopefully they put on a great show tonight.

The Chicago Blackhawks have been on the road for an extended period of time in the month of November, and finally they are back at the Madhouse on Madison Street.

After yesterday’s practice it doesn’t look like the Captain Jonathan Toews will be playing tonight when the Hawks face the new look Florida Panthers.  The biggest issue without Toews in the lineup is that the Hawks can’t win a faceoff to save their lives!

The Chicago Blackhawks are still in first place after going 3-3-1 on the circus trip, and after a pretty vanilla road trip if you throw out the Vancouver game, these are the games that the Hawks need to win if they are going to continue to stay on top  in the Central.

The Panthers are without their head coach who was fired this weekend so who knows what team will show up tonight. Sometimes, teams are motivated after a coach is fired or they start to tank so it’s a real crapshoot tonight.

One thing you can most certainly count on is the fact that Corey Crawford will be starting tonight and playing well.  He’s playing good enough to be considered a Vezina Trophy finalist, but in the end all that matters are wins and 2 points so hopefully Crow brings his A game off the plane tonight at the United Center.
