Chicago Blackhawks-Sharks TV Listings, Predictions And More
The red-hot Chicago Blackhawks take on the streaking San Jose Sharks tonight
The Chicago Blackhawks look to continue their winning ways tonight after defeating the New York Rangers, New York Islanders and St. Louis Blues in their last three games. They have won four in a row and are looking to get their fifth win in a row when they host the San Jose Sharks.
The Blackhawks could go into tonight’s game without Artem Anisimov. Aninismov left Saturday’s win against the St. Louis Blues with an upper-body injury in the first period. He is currently day to day with his injury.
With Corey Crawford also being out, the team has ridden goaltender Scott Darling exclusively, and he is 4-2-1 in his last seven starts. Darling might be starting to tire as he has allowed four goals in back-to-back games.
More from Blackhawk Up
Tonight might be the NHL debut of Lars Johansson in net. Johansson was recalled on December 4 but has yet to play in an NHL game. Johansson is playing his first season in North American hockey, as he came over over from SHL (Swedish Hockey League).
The Blackhawks’ opponent tonight is the also-hot San Jose Sharks. The Sharks are looking to sweep their current road trip with a victory over the Blackhawks.
The Sharks have beaten the Hurricanes, Leafs, Senators and Canadiens on their current road trip. The Sharks’ Joel Ward, typically an important role player, was a healthy scratch on Friday night, so we could expect him back on the ice tonight.
The Sharks will have Martin Jones in net. Jones on the year is 16-10-1 with a 2.10 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage.

Final score prediction
My prediction is the Blackhawks offense continues to roll, but their goaltending lets them down. I think Darling will get his night off and Johnasson will get the start. This will be a high-scoring affair with the Sharks coming out on top. The Sharks win 5-3 in Johnasson’s NHL debut.
