TORONTO (AP) Blake Comeau scored the go-ahead goal with 7:43 left and the Colorado Avalanche beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-2 on Monday night for their 10th straight win.

Comeau beat a backchecking Auston Matthews to the net and redirected Carl Soderberg's feed past goalie Frederik Andersen to put Colorado ahead 3-2. Gabriel Landeskog added an empty-netter in the final minute to seal it.

Gabriel Bourque and Nail Yakupov also scored for the surprising Avalanche, who have surged into a crowded race for the two Western Conference wild cards. Jonathan Bernier made 29 saves for his ninth straight win in place of injured Semyon Varlamov.

Matthews and Patrick Marleau scored for the Maple Leafs. Andersen stopped 23 shots in defeat.

LIGHTNING 2, BLACKHAWKS 0

CHICAGO (AP) - Andrei Vasilevskiy made 40 saves in his NHL-best seventh shutout, Chris Kunitz scored a short-handed goal in the second period and Tampa Bay ended a season-high three-game skid.

Yanni Gourde also scored to help the Lightning leapfrog idle Vegas for the best record in the NHL. Tampa Bay, which lost to Chicago in the 2015 Stanley Cup Final, improved to 11-0-2 against the Blackhawks in their last 13 regular-season meetings.

With Tampa Bay defenseman Mikhail Sergachev serving a double minor for high sticking and unsportsmanlike conduct, Jake Dotchin shot the puck wide of the net and Kunitz found it before anyone else, taking it off the backboard and banking it in off the right skate of goaltender Jeff Glass.

Kunitz's sixth goal of the season was enough for Vasilevskiy, who got his 28th win of the season.

Glass made 29 saves, but last-place Chicago lost for the fourth time in five games.

COYOTES 3, ISLANDERS 2, OT

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Nick Cousins scored his second goal of the game 2:21 into overtime to lift Arizona.

Cousins added an assist and the Coyotes ran their points streak to five games, a season high. Arizona has points from seven of eight games, with six of those going to overtime. Brendan Perlini scored for the third time in three games and Antti Raanta stopped 32 shots.

Anthony Beauvillier scored two goals for his second straight two-goal game for the Islanders, who have lost three of four and eight of 12. Beauvillier has eight goals in the last seven games. Jaroslav Halak finished with 30 saves.

Cousins was in front of the net for teammate Christian Fischer's pinpoint pass and put away the winner with a backhand for his seventh of the season.

SABRES 2, FLAMES 1, OT

CALGARY, Alberta (AP) - Jack Eichel scored 1:30 into overtime to give Buffalo its first win at Calgary in more than 14 years.

Eichel one-timed a pass from Rasmus Ristolainen for his 19th of the season, putting it past Mike Smith to extend his point streak to six games (four goals, six assists).

Scott Wilson also scored and Chad Johnson stopped 32 shots to help Buffalo snap a four-game road losing streak and get its first victory on the Flames' home ice since Oct. 18, 2003.

Matthew Tkachuk scored for the Flames, who are 7-0-2 in their last nine. Mike Smith finished with 31 saves.

RED WINGS 3, DEVILS 0

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Petr Mrazek had 37 saves in posting his second straight shutout and third of the season as Detroit beat slumping New Jersey.

Tyler Bertuzzi, David Booth and Dylan Larkin scored for the Red Wings, who snapped a two-game losing streak and won for the second time in six games.

Cory Schneider, sidelined two of the last three games with an illness, made 27 saves for the Devils, who have two wins in their last 10 games (2-5-3).

Mrazek is clearly giving coach Jeff Blashill something to think about. He made 27 saves in shutting out Chicago on Jan. 14, and he now has three shutouts in 14 games with a 5-5-1 record.

WILD 3, SENATORS 1

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Jason Zucker scored for the fourth straight game and Alex Stalock made 37 saves to lead Minnesota.

Zach Parise and Mikael Granlund also scored to help the Wild improve to 4-0-2 in their last six games.

Matt Duchene scored his seventh goal for Ottawa. Mike Condon made his first start since Dec. 30 and made 33 saves as the Senators lost for the fourth time in five games.

Zucker tied Eric Staal for the team lead with 19 goals this season five minutes into the third for the game-winner in front of a sparse crowd due to a blizzard in the Twin Cities.
