Cory Schneider denies Martin Hanzal with huge kick save (Video)
Cory Schneider preserved the New Jersey Devils win over the Arizona Coyotes with a kick save against Martin Hanzal.
Schneider got his start with the Vancouver Canucks. After splitting time with Roberto Luongo, the Canucks traded him to the Devils at the 2013 NHL Draft. Since joining them, Schneider has been asked to replace the legendary Martin Brodeur. He has done exactly that. Schneider has 71 wins in 177 games for the Devils. While that might not sound impressive, his .924 save percentage with New Jersey certainly is. He was named to Team USA’s roster at the World Cup of Hockey, getting the start in the final game against the Czech Republic. In his first five games this season, Schneider has a .943 save percentage. His 1.6 goaltending point shares so far lead the NHL.
