Crosby, MacKinnon serve up coffee, laughs in Tim Hortons commercials
Pittsburgh Penguins phenom Sidney Crosby and Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon make it look easy on the ice.
Now, when the Nova Scotia natives are working a drive-thru at Tim Hortons, well ... let's just say they struggled with their first - and last - day on the job.
Filmed over the summer in Dartmouth for an eight-part series of commercials, Crosby and MacKinnon had difficulty keeping the line moving while unsuccessfully trying to stifle their laughter at various requests by the surprised customers.
A two-time Hart Trophy winner and Canadian Olympic icon, Crosby heard his name regularly when he asked unsuspecting drivers to name a hockey player from the East Coast. In fact, the Penguins star was up 5-0 before he asked for another name from Cole Harbour, and the driver stumbled on the right track with her answer of "McGinnis" - to the great pleasure of MacKinnon.
