Dallas Stars F Tyler Seguin is Very Fragile at World Cup

Dallas Stars F Tyler Seguin Walked Away From a Close Call When he Slammed into the Boards Against the USA in Preseason Exhibition on Friday

Dallas Stars F Tyler Seguin is one of the strongest centers in the league. He’s Dallas’ most formidable frontman, and following his injury last season, the Stars are likely telling Team Canada to be very careful.

Remember, Seguin was ruled out for nearly a month due to a 15 percent tear to his Achilles last season. Achilles injuries are no laughing matter, and Seguin’s lucky he only walked away with a partial tear. Anything more than just that and he’d probably be out for the World Cup of Hockey as well.

The Stars suffered when they lost Seguin in March earlier this year. His timeline for return was the beginning of the Playoffs, but unfortunately, Seguin experienced a setback and only appeared in a single game.

After winning the Central Division, Dallas managed to knock off the Minnesota Wild in the opening round without their star center. They could have used him in the second round though after his team fell just short in game seven to St. Louis.

Another loss of Seguin, especially at the beginning of the season would be one of the biggest blows the team can face to start off October.

    Dallas is Watching Closely

Dallas Stars F Tyler Seguin may be boasting his health right now, but if I’m skeptical, I guarantee that Dallas is even more so. International competitions are always heavy scrutinized if players get injured. If a star gets injured (no pun intended) there’s even more scrutiny.

Tyler Seguin is by no means in perfect health. I think he’s very fragile, and if he takes another hit like he did against Ryan Suter diving legs first into the boards, he could be out for an extended period of time.

We’re talking much longer than just four weeks.
