Devils News: Taylor Hall Out 3-4 Weeks Following Knee Surgery
Recent New Jersey Devils news is about the injury to forward Taylor Hall. How long with the Devils best scorer be out for?
Recent New Jersey Devils news is not good for the organization, as forward Taylor Hall had to have surgery on his meniscus. For a Devils team that has been playing very well this season, this is not the news that they wanted to hear.
This offseason, the acquisition of Hall was a big move for the Devils. After being the worst offense in the league last season, getting a proven scorer like Hall was needed for the Devils to improve.
So far this season, the decision to trade for Hall has been a great one. This season, Hall has totaled 12 points with five goals and seven assists. The five goals lead the team, and Hall is tied for the team-lead in points with defenseman Damon Severson.
The addition of Hall has helped the offense improve this season, as they are currently ranked 23rd in the NHL is goals per game. While the offense can still improve for the Devils, the addition of Hall has helped them become a true playoff contender this season.

Unfortunately, Hall is going to be out for 3-4 weeks following the surgery. With the Devils riding high on a five-game winning streak that has moved them up to third in the Metropolitan Division, the timing isn’t ideal.
The fear in New Jersey is that the offense will go back to what they were last season. With Hall out of the lineup, the Devils will need players like Mike Cammalleri, Adam Henrique, and Kyle Palmeri to step up on offense.
Luckily, the Devils have Cory Schneider playing great this season, as the offense really hasn’t had to score all that much for them to win. The absence of Hall will be felt soon for the Devils, as they will need players to step up with him out for a month.
