Goaltenders often give hockey fans a glimpse of both their creativity and personality with the designs on their masks.

Cory Schneider is now allowing the fans in on the fun as the New Jersey Devils goaltender is actively seeking a new design for one of the masks he'll wear this season. Those interested can submit their own designs by Aug. 7 on the provided template found on the Devils' official home page.

"The passion and creativity of our fans inspired me to welcome ideas for next season's mask," Schneider said in a statement released by the team. "I am truly excited and eager to see what the fans can come up with!"

Schneider will select five finalists on Aug. 10, with each receiving an autographed photo from the goaltender. The 29-year-old will then pick among the five submissions for the grand prize four days later, with the winner claiming four tickets to a Devils' home game, a meet-and-greet with the netminder and a signed goaltender stick.

Artist David Gunnarsson will paint the design of the grand prize winner for Schneider to wear at a later date.
