Devils' Schneider takes batting practice at Fenway Park
New Jersey Devils goaltender Cory Schneider lived out one of his dreams by taking batting practice at Fenway Park on Wednesday.
A native of Marblehead, Mass., Schneider met Boston Red Sox manager John Farrell and second baseman Dustin Pedroia prior to the team's game against the Chicago White Sox. The 29-year-old Schneider received a Red Sox jersey with his name and No. 35, while presenting a Devils jersey to New Jersey native Rick Porcello.
"I've told people for many years that this is one of my dreams, taking batting practice at Fenway Park," Schneider told the team's website. "Scratch that one off the list, so thank you very much. This is really cool to be honest."
Schneider continuously made contact at the plate, although didn't see too many balls leave the infield.
