Devils to honor Brodeur by wearing No. 30 jerseys during warmups
A No. 30 will be on the ice one last time for the New Jersey Devils when they host the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday.
In fact, each member of the Devils will wear the number in addition to a special patch on their jerseys during warmups in honor of four-time Vezina Trophy-winning Martin Brodeur. The 43-year-old Brodeur will be the fourth member of the team to have his number retired - joining defensemen Scott Stevens, Ken Daneyko and Scott Niedermayer.

A statue of Brodeur was unveiled outside the Prudential Center on Monday, with three of the netminder's four sons on hand. Anthony, Jeremy and Maxime helped lift the curtain on the statue while William was unable to attend due to the weather.

The festivities continue on Tuesday as Brodeur's No. 30 jersey will be raised to the rafters following an on-ice ceremony, with Stevens, Daneyko and Niedermayer joining NHL commissioner Gary Bettman, former New Jersey general manager Lou Lamoriello and others in attendance.

A three-time Stanley Cup champion, Brodeur recorded 688 of his NHL-best 691 career wins in New Jersey while playing in 21 of his 22 career seasons with the Devils. The 10-time All-Star finished with NHL goaltending records in shutouts (125), games played (1,266) and minutes played (74,439).
Brodeur, who finished his career with St. Louis, now serves as assistant general manager with the Blues.
