Calgary Flames veteran forward Jiri Hudler will be sidelined at least one week with a groin injury, coach Bob Hartley told reporters on Wednesday.

Hudler was injured in Calgary's 4-0 victory over the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday and was held out of Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Although he noted at least one week for an absence, Hartley told reporters that the team does not know exactly how long the 32-year-old will be out of action.

"We have no target dates, yet, on his return."

Despite playing with first-liners Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan, Hudler has struggled mightily after posting a career-best 76 points (31 goals, 45 assists) in 2014-15. The veteran has collected just five goals and 15 assists in 35 games this season for the Flames (19-18-2), with his last tally coming in a 5-4 triumph over the Boston Bruins on Dec. 4.

Hudler, who will become an unrestricted free agent in the summer, has scored 150 goals and set up 241 others in 639 career contests with the Detroit Red Wings and Flames.

Joe Colborne participated on the team's first line in Wednesday's practice.
