Flyers legend Parent receives stamp of approval from Canada Post
Bernie Parent's unmistakable mask could be the first thing you see upon opening your mailbox.
Well, if you look in the upper right corner of an envelope, that is.
Canada Post selected six legendary goaltenders to be featured on a set of stamps, with Parent joining Lorne "Gump" Worsley, Johnny Bower, Tony Esposito, Ken Dryden and Martin Brodeur in being honored. The 70-year-old Parent traveled to the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto for the unveiling.

Parent's stamp features the Hall of Famer glancing toward the boards through his iconic white Fiberglass mask. The signature look is how many Flyers fans remember Parent, who went on to capture both the Vezina and Conn Smythe trophies during the team's Stanley Cup-winning seasons in 1974 and 1975.
