Flyers vs Kings live stream: Watch online
Here’s how to watch Friday’s clash between the Philadelphia Flyers and Los Angeles Kings online.
After a horrible start to the season, the Los Angeles Kings will try to get back on track when they host the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday night at the Staples Center.
Los Angeles fell 2-1 to the defending Western Conference champion San Jose Sharks on Wednesday in the season opener. The Kings took the lead at the 1:22 mark of the first period on a goal by Tyler Toffoli, only to surrender the game winner to Brent Burns early in the third.
To make matters much worse, Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick suffered what appeared to be a significant lower body injury sometime during the first period. Free-agent addition Jeff Zatkoff played the final two periods, making 15 saves, and will presumably be back in goal Friday night.
A long-term injury for Quick is a major problem for the Kings, as the team doesn’t have the cap space to make any new additions or fix the holes on offense. Philadelphia will be eager to show last year’s playoff run wasn’t just a blip, and a win in the Staples Center would be a great start.

On the other side, the Flyers will be in action for the first time in 2016-17. A rebuilding Philadelphia team exceeded expectations with 96 points a year ago, good enough for fifth in the Metropolitan Division, and were bounced in six games by the top-seeded Washington Capitals in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
A return trip to the postseason could prove difficult with some up and coming teams in the Eastern Conference. Shayne Gostisbehere will be the Flyer to keep an eye on after putting up 46 points as a rookie and playing well for Team North America in the World Cup of Hockey.
