Giroux, Ryan test sharp-shooting accuracy with watermelons, drones
Philadelphia Flyers captain Claude Giroux and Ottawa Senators forward Bobby Ryan had no issues giving each other the business as they competed in an outdoors skills competition.
Gongshow Gear provided the video of the back-and-forth battle between the friends, although they certainly took their fair share of verbal liberties with one another at Ryan's outdoor rink in Ontario.
The Flyers' sniper provided the exclamation point in the first event with a backhand shot to capture the target practice competition. Ryan rebounded with a flourish, drilling a watermelon to win the "fruit sniper" event before breaking plates by sailing shots into the second-story window of a barn to take the lead.
"We're gonna be here all day with your accuracy," Ryan joked of Giroux, who tied the contest in impressive fashion. The 27-year-old Giroux knocked a flying drone into the trees, causing Ryan to throw his stick in disgust.
Ryan, however, got the last word as he defeated Giroux in the skeet-shooting competition to win the zany competition.
