The Colorado Avalanche beat the San Jose Sharks 6-3 on Monday. Avs captain Gabriel Landeskog did not register a point, took only one shot, delivered only one hit and played only 15 minutes.

He also was on the ice for the opening faceoff of the third period, a particularly noteworthy accomplishment considering in the second period he took a slap shot to the face, a face that looked like this after the game:
