Holtby admits 'Family Feud' is a hit with the Capitals

The Washington Capitals admittedly have many differences on their team, but goaltender Braden Holtby revealed that there's one television show that unites the club.

So, what could be so inspiring on television that captivates the members of an entire hockey team? It's not "The Big Bang Theory", "The Simpsons" or even "Seinfeld". As a matter of fact, it's "Family Feud".

From Sportsnet, via Russian Machine Never Breaks:

"That's a hit in the locker room. Especially before games or whatnot. ('Family Feud') kind of brings the team together. It’s kind of our thing to do."

If you're not convinced about the team's love of the television show, consider teammate Evgeny Kuznetsov. The forward referenced the long-running show in The Players' Tribune recently.

Judging by the numbers, the survey says the show is working its magic for Holtby and the red-hot Capitals (27-6-2).

The 26-year-old Saskatchewan native is 23-4-1 with two shutouts and a 1.85 goals-against average this season. He'll likely be in goal as Washington vies for its ninth straight victory on Wednesday when it hosts the Buffalo Sabres.
