Is Flyers' Giroux a bit too confident vs. Ducks?
Captain Claude Giroux must feel pretty confident that the Philadelphia Flyers will snap a two-game skid when they host the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday.
Why, you ask? Well, Giroux noted that the Flyers (23-19-9) were ready to move on following one-goal losses to the Metropolitan Division-rival New York Rangers and Washington Capitals. That sounds innocent enough, but the 28-year-old Ontario native prefaced that with either a slip of the tongue or an actual guarantee.
Via NHL.com:
"After we win tonight, we'll be able to put those games behind us and move forward from here."
Giroux's recent play suggests that he's ready to back up his words, whether they were intentional or not.
Already on Ducks' bulletin board, we presume. https://t.co/cXB3jPjZhW

Giroux, who has a team-leading 44 points, has scored three goals and set up six others in the last seven games.
While that's all well and good, perhaps the Ducks (25-19-7) will have something to say about Giroux's "slip of the tongue" when the teams meet at Wells Fargo Center.
