New York Islanders goaltender Kevin Poulin signed a one-year, two-way contract on Tuesday.
Financial terms were not disclosed by the team, but Arthur Staple of Newsday reported that the pact was worth $600,000 should Poulin compete with the Islanders and $275,000 if he plays primarily with Bridgeport of the American Hockey League.

The 25-year-old Montreal native likely will see time with the Sound Tigers as Jaroslav Halak and fellow veteran Thomas Greiss are expected to receive the majority of action in New York.
Poulin suffered a 3-2 shootout loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Dec. 27, 2014 in his lone appearance last season. He has recorded an 18-25-3 mark and a 3.07 goals-against average in 50 career appearances with the Islanders.
