Islanders Snap Five Game Losing Streak In Boston (Highlights)
The New York Islanders beat the Boston Bruins on the coat tails of Anders Lee and Thomas Greiss to snap their five game losing streak.
Thomas Greiss and Anders Lee were phenomenal tonight. Here’s how the Islanders snapped their losing streak.
On a very bizarre play the Islanders got on the board thanks to a Tuukka Rask mistake and Anders Lee being in the right spot at the right time.

Anders Lee went from the quietest player on the team to the Islanders best scorer. The dude has been unstoppable for a month now. Thomas Hickey would add another goal to give the Islanders a two goal lead after one.
In the second period it was yet another Tuukka Rask mistake that allowed the Islandeers to extend their lead.

A three goal lead heading into the third period, what could possible go wrong? To no surprise they almost blew the game. Anton Blidh and Dominic Moore scored early in the third and all the momentum went to the Bruins side.
The Islanders were not getting very many offensive chances, until Anders Lee scored yet again for his 12th on the year. The Islanders had a nice comfortable two goal lead and they would hold on for the win.
Thomas Greiss was stellar for the Islanders. He stopped 48 of the 50 shots on goal for the Bruins. They had a ton of chances to get back in this game but Greiss was certainly on his game and didn’t allow the comeback.
It was clear that Greisser and Lee were the big stories from this one. Not a spectacular win, but it was a much needed one.
