Islanders' Strome teaches 'floorball' to kids in Brooklyn
With a break in his team's schedule on Sunday, New York Islanders forward Ryan Strome found himself playing an integral role in helping hockey grow in Brooklyn.
Rather than take the ice, the 22-year-old Strome elected to visit the Bergen Beach Youth Organization's Community Sports Complex and spend his day off assisting approximately 120 children with their stickhandling skills.

Via Newsday:
"Growing up in Toronto, there’s a lot of opportunity (to learn the sport). Being here, back in the community, I think the Islanders do a good job of setting this up for the kids and giving them that opportunity that a lot of kids might not have."
Sunday's event is aiding in the transition of installing "floorball" as an activity in several area elementary and middle schools.

Judging by the children's response, Strome's "team" found itself victorious again.
