Jack Eichel to finally make his season debut for the Sabres
At long last, the Sabres will finally have their brightest young superstar on the ice this season.
Jack Eichel will make his season debut for the team on Tuesday night when the Sabres take on the Senators in Ottawa, as confirmed by head coach Dan Bylsma.
The 20-year-old forward went down with a high ankle sprain in a practice just prior to the start of the season, causing him to miss the first 21 games of Buffalo's season.
Eichel, who was taken with the No. 2 overall pick in 2015, recorded 56 points on the strength of 24 goals in his rookie season with the Sabres last year. His return to the lineup will be a huge addition for an anemic Buffalo offense -- currently ranked last in the NHL -- and the Atlantic's last-place team.
It's official: JACK IS BACK!
