Jonathan Quick's post-to-post stick save is the best this season

A top-line playmaker? A surefire power-play lamplighter? A dominant two-way defenseman? While those things are great, what every team is looking for ahead of the Stanley Cup Playoffs is a hot goalie.

The Kings know all about what an in-form netminder can do. In 2012, goalie Jonathan Quick posted one of the best playoff runs in NHL history, saving 95 out of every 100 shots and posting a 1.41 goals against average, and the Kings won the Cup.

Quick wasn't as dominant when the Kings won again in 2014, but a .911 save percentage isn't too shabby either. Needless to say, his strong play was important in both triumphs.

With six games left in the regular season, this is the time that teams want to see their top players -- especially their goalies -- rounding into form.

Feel free to ask the San Jose Sharks if they think Quick is ready for the playoffs.
