Khudobin gets the nod for his second straight start
Anton Khudobin was impressive in his Anaheim Ducks' debut Sunday against the Minnesota Wild.
Khudobin stopped 34 of the 35 shots he faced in the 4-1 win.
It was a good enough start that he earned himself another one against the Nashville Predators.
Despite the fact that the Ducks have a 1-3-1 record, goaltending hasn't been their issue. Frederik Andersen, the Ducks' primary goaltender, has a .947 save percentage and a 1.57 goals against average.
According to the Orange County Register's Eric Stephens, head coach Bruce Boudreau said there isn't anything wrong with Andersen.
If the Ducks do trust Khudobin as much as Andersen, they have a great problem. Throw in the fact that Anaheim has John Gibson waiting for his shot at a full time NHL position, and Anaheim's goaltending depth is impressive.
