New York Islanders Daily: Anders Lee Continues Hot Streak
Anders Lee continues his hot streak, as do the New York Islanders with their win over the St Louis Blues last night.
For the first time this season the New York Islanders are over the .500 mark. They know have at least a point in their last six games. Part of the reason for the Islanders resurgence has been Anders Lee and his knack for scoring goals.
In the last eight games Lee’s got seven goals and he’s now tied with John Tavares for the team lead in goals with eight.
For the longest time he was stuck on just one goal and giving you virtually nothing offensively. Lately, he’s been in the right place at the right time deflecting shots which is what he does best.
Lee is an extremely streaky player, when he’s hot he’s as hot as anybody. When he’s cold, he looks completely lost.
It’d be nice for him to find some level of consistency. The scoring won’t always be there, but he can’t look as lost as he did early on this season. As of now we can’t complain, he’s been doing everything right.
But as of now, let’s continue to ride Lee and his offensive production for as long as possible.
