New York Islanders Daily: John Tavares' Power Play Goal Secured Win
The New York Islanders beat their cross-town rival New York Rangers last night. The Isles captain helped secured the win.
The New York Islanders power play has struggled all year long. The Isles special teams units were both struggling through the early stages of the season. But, the penalty kill has been amazing killing their last 20 penalties.
Though, last night John Tavares broke through on the power play to extend the Islanders lead.

The Islanders are finally heating up, guys like Jason Chimera, Andrew Ladd, and Anders Lee seem to be finally hitting their stride.
If John Tavares continues to be himself, and these guys come on strong the Islanders can turn this thing around. They got back to .500 last night and they still got work to do, but they’re in the right direction.
