New York Islanders Daily: Ryan Strome Still Sits
Ryan Strome sat for his second straight game, while the New York Islanders went on to beat the Calgary Flames.
Head coach of the New York Islanders Jack Capuano decided to scratch Ryan Strome for a second straight game. Strome didn’t seem to happy with the decision.
“It doesn’t really matter what I think . . . I’ve either got to play better or find a way to make them more happy, I guess,”
Strome’s right he’s got to play better. He hasn’t been lighting up the scoreboard, he’s got just one assist in his past 12 games.
When asked about his relationship with Jack Capuano, Strome said “I think [it’s good], I don’t know,” he said. “Maybe ask him.”
That’s what we like to hear. Well, if you asked Capuano I’m not sure if you would get a straight answer. Capuano’s treatment of Strome has been questionable, but Strome does have to play better that much is true. The only way he can get better is on the ice though, not in the press box.
