As training camp opens for the New York Islanders it signifies the true start of the season. All the offseason bologna is over with and now it is time to focus on the product on the ice. The question is can the Islanders build off their successful season last year?

The addition of veterans should hopefully settle things down a bit when it comes to the forward situation and the ever changing lines. The Islanders brought in people with playoff experience and people who have won before.
So to answer the question, yes they can build off of last season. They should be better.
