Former Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban made his long-awaited return to Montreal as his Predators took on the Habs Thursday night. It was the first time Subban took to the ice for a game at Bell Centre since being traded last summer.

As expected, he was greeted by mostly cheers from Canadiens fans in attendance. The defenseman was a beloved player and a fixture in the community during his tenure in Montreal, and it's clear that he won't be forgotten for a long time:

Before the anthems and opening puck drop, there was a bit of ceremony in Subban's honor. The team welcomed the Toronto native back with an outstanding tribute video highlighting his contributions both on and off the ice during his seven seasons in Montreal.
