Panthers' Luongo asked to sign photo of ex-mate Schneider
Florida Panthers goaltender Roberto Luongo took to social media to shed light on some fan mail he received recently.
Luongo posted a request from one fan in particular, who coupled who he thought was the veteran netminder during his time with the Vancouver Canucks with a current picture of the 36-year-old in a Florida uniform. In reality, the Canucks' photo in question was of Luongo's then-teammate Cory Schneider.
Luongo opted to have a little fun with the miscue, writing on the Vancouver picture "This is Corey Schneider!" (sic).
The 29-year-old Schneider, who currently competes for the New Jersey Devils, played with Luongo from the 2008-09 season until being traded to the Garden State representatives at the 2013 draft.
