Patrice Bergeron celebrates son's birth, Bruins Twitter community responds hilariously
Patrice Bergeron and his wife, Stephanie, welcomed a baby boy named Zack into the world Wednesday morning, and when the news hit Twitter Wednesday afternoon, the Bruins community on the social media website exploded both with joy and with humor.
New Englanders regard Bergeron nearly as a saint, and baby Bergeron was celebrated accordingly.
Bruins fans and reporters also spent time postulating on the newborn's future as a star hockey player.
Based on his father's excellent defensive ability, Zack Bergeron a lot to live up to on the ice.
Later in the afternoon, Bruins president Cam Neely confirmed in an interview that the new father, who missed morning skate due to the happy occasion, will play in Wednesday night's game against the Flyers.
