Penguins' Dupuis returns to practice following health scare
Pittsburgh Penguins forward Pascal Dupuis returned to practice on Monday, three days removed from being taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons following symptoms that might have been related to his history of blood clots.
Similar health issues forced Dupuis to sit out the majority of last season. The 36-year-old Quebec native missed 66 games because of a torn ACL and a blood clot in his lung.
"Everything went well this morning," Dupuis told Pensburgh after skating with captain Sidney Crosby on the top line. "It will probably be something that I have to go through a couple times during the season."
There was no immediate word if Dupuis would be allowed to return to the ice for Wednesday's home game versus the Montreal Canadiens.
Dupuis, who has one goal in six games this season, recorded 189 tallies and 217 assists in 859 career contests with the Minnesota Wild, New York Rangers, Winnipeg Jets and Penguins.
