Philadelphia Flyers End Losing Streak.

Philadelphia ended their three game losing streak defeating the San Jose Sharks 2-1 in over time, out shooting the Sharks 35-24 in the afternoon.

The Philadelphia Flyers and San Jose Sharks both entered Saturdays game on three game losing streaks.

Philadelphia started off the game on the power play as San Jose was called for too-many man 39 seconds into the game.

    Following the Flyers power play Micheal Haley and Radko Gudas got into it. Radko felt Haley went in for a low hit on him. Radko Gudas would get four for roughing while Haley sat for two.

    On the power play, the Sharks beat Michal Neuvirth for a 1-0 lead that was called back for goalie interfence after coach Dave Hakstol challenged the goal.

    The Flyers out shot the Sharks 14-4 in the first period but were unable to solve Aaron Dell.  Wayne Simmonds had the best chance of the first.

    Both teams were unable to score on there second period power plays. The Flyers stood tall killing the penalty after Michal Neuvirth lost his stick. The Sharks out shot the Flyers 7-4 in the second frame.

    The Philadelphia Flyers opened the scoring 6:22 into the third period when Andrew McDonald cut to the net hitting the post, Ivan Provorov pick up the rebound and made no mistake over the shoulder of Aaron Dell, Jake Voracek add the secondary assist. The Flyers  first 5v5 goal in 245 minutes, 25 seconds

    Patrick Marleau’s 20th of the season tied the game on the power play just three minutes later.

    Philadelphia weren’t able to score on a late power-play after being turned away by Aaron Dell time and time again.

    Wayne Simmonds ended the Flyers three gaming losing streak finishing off an overtime breakaway, a minute into extra time. His first career overtime winner.
