Philadelphia Flyers Fall Short vs Coyotes
The Philadelphia Flyers overcame several bad breaks and had a great chance to claim the win against the Coyotes, but were forced to settle for 1 point
It was defensible when the Philadelphia Flyers had a slow start in their first game of the season against the Kings. It was harder to excuse their sloppy start in game number 2 against the Coyotes, taking a pair of too many men penalties in the first 3 minutes of the game.
It would prove to be that kind of night for the Flyers. Fortunately the Flyers overcame some bad bounces and questionable calls and had a great opportunity to win the game. The overtime looked more like a Flyers 5v3 than an even 3v3…right up until the Coyotes scored on their first chance. In the end, the Flyers will likely be satisfied with 3 points from their first 2 games of the season.
