Red-hot Kane on blistering pace for Blackhawks

Published Nov. 16, 2015 12:58 p.m. ET

Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane is showing no signs of slowing down.

The electric Kane scored in his career-high seventh straight contest on Sunday and added an assist in Chicago's 4-1 victory over the Calgary Flames. Kane's goal streak in team games is the longest for a member of the Blackhawks since Steve Larmer in 1987, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

Kane has scored 10 goals and set up 12 others during his 13-game point streak, which resides one shy of his career high (2013-14). Kane, who will turn 27 on Thursday, leads the league in goals (13), points (28) and plus/minus (plus-14).

With Calgary nursing a 1-0 lead midway into the second period, Kane alertly spotted a loose puck near the goal line toward the right of the net and backhanded a shot past Karri Ramo.

Kane will look to match his career-high point streak when Chicago (10-7-1) visits the Edmonton Oilers (6-12-0) on Wednesday.
