Red Wings' Tatar meets 'Harry Potter' star
The Detroit Red Wings have fans from all over the world ... even those who attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Red Wings forward Tomas Tatar recently received an unexpected visit from British actor Daniel Radcliffe, famously known as the main character in author J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter" series. Radcliffe was in Michigan to ring in the new year with girlfriend Erin Darke and attended Detroit's 5-2 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday.
Via MLive:
"It's nice that he is a Red Wings fan obviously. ... It's not like I was crazy about it, but I think it was great movie (series) and hands down, he did a great job there."
While Tatar was held off the scoresheet versus the Penguins, the 25-year-old collected a goal and an assist two nights later in Detroit's 4-3 victory over the Atlantic Division-rival Buffalo Sabres.

After the latter showing, one wonders if Radcliffe's magical powers aren't just left to the big screen.
