Report: Alexander Radulov considering return to NHL
According to a report out of Russia, Alexander Radulov is contemplating a return to the NHL. The former Nashville Predator and current KHL star for CSKA Moscow is only under contract in Russia through the 2015-16 season, and his interest has reportedly been piqued by contact from Avalanche coach Patrick Roy.
Roy, who was Radulov's coach in juniors in Quebec, reportedly was able to confirm that the 29-year-old Radulov is in fact able to return after next season and expressed his interest in having Radulov join him in Colorado.
Radulov won the KHL scoring title this season with 71 points in 46 games.
Another switch would be the fourth between the two leagues for Radulov, who has had a polarizing career. He parted ways with the Predators in 2008 to move to the KHL, then returned for the 2012 playoffs before getting benched during Nashville's second-round series loss after he was seen out at a bar in the early-morning hours in violation of curfew.
In his NHL career, Radulov has 47 goals and 55 assists in 154 games.
