At age 43, former star Alexei Kovalev is reportedly considering a return to the NHL. Kovalev told the Montreal Journal that if a team wanted him, he would love to play.
When asked if he still believes he could play in the NHL, he said "of course, why not? By cons, attitudes have changed much in the league." This all being said despite and underwhelming performance in his last season in the NHL with the Panthers, and a significant decline in production over each of his last three seasons from 2009-2012.
